Terms of service
Use the connections. Verify the claims.
CASCADES is a tool for research discovery. These terms describe its use and limits.
Research information
Metadata, citation counts, and relationships reflect the available source records at the time observed. Records can be incomplete, incorrect, or out of date. Check the original paper, repository, or provider record before relying on a result.
A citation does not establish causality, endorsement, or technical inheritance. Topic groups and timelines describe the retrieved sample. They are not comprehensive measurements of a field.
AI investigations
Optional AI synthesis can make mistakes, including misreading a source. Linked evidence helps you inspect a claim but does not guarantee that the interpretation is correct. Treat generated conclusions as research leads that require review.
Source rights and licenses
Follow the terms of the linked metadata providers and the licenses attached to papers, code, datasets, and model repositories. CASCADES does not grant rights to copyrighted full texts, model weights, or other third-party materials.
Responsible use
Use the service lawfully. Do not try to bypass authentication, access another person's saved research, evade usage limits, or disrupt the application and its providers. Keep credentials and confidential material out of public queries.
Your account and saved work
Protect access to your sign-in account. Export research you need to keep. Features and provider availability can change, and saved records do not replace the original sources. See the privacy policy for data flows and deletion controls.
Availability
CASCADES is under active development. Coverage, response times, and access to optional AI depend on upstream services and usage limits. Read the status and coverage messages shown with each result.
